Q Can I charter a helicopter at night, or in poor weather conditions?
A Not all helicopter charter types are suitable for night flying, generally the larger types are but smaller single-engined types are not. All night flying is subject to using properly illuminated landing areas or airfields. In the list below helicopters capable of night flying can also fly in poor weather, but only to suitably equipped airfields.
Q Can helicopter charter flights land anywhere in the UK?
A No, they can freely use airfields and helipads but private property can only be used with the landowners permission. Landing areas must be open and free from obstructions, such as power lines and trees. Sometimes a local hotel can provide a landing area, but there will be a cost of between £75 - £100 unless you are a guest.
Q Can you find a landing site for my helicopter charter flight?
A We can suggest airfields and helipads in the area but if permission is required to use private property this must be obtained by the customer.
Q What is the cost of helicopter charter services?
A The cost of helicopter hire flights is worked out per flying hour plus landing fees, waiting time and VAT (domestic flights only). Total cost will include the time taken to position to and from the helicopter's base. Contact us for a free quotation.
Q What luggage can be carried?
A

All but the largest helicopter types have only very limited space for luggage. If you are taking a large amount then a larger type will be required for your helicopter charter flight.
